Prolongation of the additional official inspections of the imported organic products into the EU from Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation


Dear organic market operators,

From 01.01.2017 until 31.12.2017, at the point of entry into the EU for the consignment from Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation the additional official inspections of each organic consignment will be conducted.

It includes:

  • Chapter 10 – Cereals
  • Chapter 11 – Products of the milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten
  • Chapter 12 – Oil seeds and oleaginous fruits; miscellaneous grains, seeds and fruit; industrial or medicinal plants; straw and fodder (including 12.06 - Sunflower seeds)
  • Chapter 23 – Residues and waste from the food industries, prepared animal fodder (including 23.06 - Oilcake and other solid residues, whether or not ground or in the form of pellets, resulting from the extraction of vegetable fats or oils, other than those of heading 2304 or 2305).

Please, provide for the consignments of products necessary identification.
Also in due time inform the control body or control authority of each consignment to be imported into the European Union. All documentation for the cargo will be additionally checked during import and also will be conducted additional sampling of each party at point of entry.
